1. Acase Leather Flip Style Folio iPad Case
The flip style folio iPad Case is probably the most popular design. Hardly the most exciting but this is just so darned practical that we cannot really complain about its best selling status.
What do you get then? Well reasonable quality leather with a super soft suede interior keep your iPad safe and scratch free. Out and about your iPad looks like a book in this jacket. But open it up and you get four landscape viewing angles to stand your iPad in. Practical, durable and with a great finish. Whilst really cheap iPad cases with stands may be okay, they tend to fall down a little when it comes to the finish on all those cut outs that allow you to access the tablets controls. This one is spot on for the money (amazingly it is selling at around $25 at the time of writing).
It comes in black, tan or red but personally the black is good enough. The feel is soft making the iPad comfortable to hold, which is lucky as there is no option to stand the iPad in portrait mode, for that you will have to hold it!
All in all, great quality for the price and really just a very practical iPad accessory. 2. Otterbox Defender Series iPad Cases
The Otterbox Defender is the toughest, roughest iPad Case available. Now selling for around $50 it has come down in price, making it a far more affordable way to make your iPad almost but not quite bomb proof.
Three separate layers offer ultimate tablet protection. True the first is a bit of hassle to apply, but then screen protectors usually are! But once on, the tough shatterproof polycarbonate shell clips on, followed by a smooth silicone skin.
The end result is an impact proof casing that is the toughest on the market today. At the time of writing it was being given a great 4.5 stars out of 5 overall. And, though it isn’t technically waterproof, it does seem to be puddle-proof which is always handy!
The downside is you do add some significant weight and bulk to the iPad. But frankly this was never a truly lightweight device to begin with, and with that weight comes durability and peace of mind.
3. Hard Candy Bubble Sleeve for iPad
Hard Candy Bubble Sleeves are a totally different sort of iPad case. A simple zip up pouch with a difference. Rubber bumpers inside keep the iPad in place. The zipper opens all the way round allow the case to open up and allow you to use the tablet whilst still inside too.
But, what makes these some of the best iPad cases for us, is that oh so bubbly design. Sorry but I know they are practical, offering padding and protection, but come on they just feel fab to the touch and look totally groovy. A bit retro, a bit space age, just bubbly and fun.
