Zune Cases – Incipio Feather Case for Zune HD

Incipio Feather Case for Zune HD – Click for Pricing

For the most lightweight solution to keeping your Zune HD looking fabulous check out the aptly named Incipio Feather Zune Case.  At only a millimetre thick this is the ultimate in slim styling.  And, whilst so many other Zune skins are available only in limited colors, the Incipio Feather comes in midnight blue, magenta, red and clear options too.

This is a cool design with cut outs so you can get to everything you need too.  But it isn’t so great if you use a docking station for charging as you will have to remove the cover then.  Not much of a problem to be honest since this is a case that snaps on and off with ease, but still perhaps not the most practical choice for “dockers”.

The feel of the polymer material is good and grippy but smooth and modern looking so the chances are you won’t be dropping your Zune quite as often as you might.  If you do this will give some protection, but remember it is thin and unlikely to cope quite so well as other textured products such as the Zune PixelSkin.

Customer reviews are on the whole extremely positive (click the image above to view).  At the time of writing there were over 35 Incipio Feather Zune case reviews for the various color options, giving an overall average of 4.5 out of a possible 5 stars – not bad I’d say!  There are tougher solutions than this one, but frankly I guess most of us manage to keep our MP3 players in our hands or pockets, safely most of the time so this lightweight cool looking cover should suit all but the most clumsy of us.

If you want a cover for your Zune MP3 Player that is practical, stylish and fun check out the rubberised Speck Pixel Skin Zune Case.  We’ve already mentioned Speck Pixel Skins for the iPod and iPad here at the Best Covers and Cases site.  We love their good looks, great grip and tough protection, all in a lightweight rubberised body.

Whilst ordinary silicone skins are okay, they are always a little on the slick side and look, well, pretty average if you ask us.  Speck though offer up some great looking fun designs with a real practical edge.  The fit is great, with good access to ports and control, whilst the cut out around the display fits well.  The whole thing is well made and a far cry from so many cheap gadget skins.

But what really makes this one of our favorites that we simply keep coming back to again and again is that tiled effect.  The ridges make this by far one of the “grippiest” cases around.  Add to that the fact that it simply looks cool and you have a really great case for your Zune!

It looks tough, gives great drop protection and the only downside we can see is that this is silicone, and silicone as most gadget fans will tell you does like to attract dust and lint.  Not something you can really get away from, but something to think about nevertheless.  If you want a dust free life, get used to wiping this down regularly or opt for a leather flip cover or folio style case instead!  But then of course you would miss that cool pixel skin texture.
