And even more surprising when this case actually has some real Eco credentials too.
The exterior is an all leather book jacket style iPad case, with a soft microfiber interior. The iPad stays safe inside its cover with the help of a fold over tab and an elastic strap. A wide hand-strap allows you to carry the iPad in its case really comfortably and a portable stand gives you varying levels of support for the tablet whilst being used.
The Eco side of things comes in with regards to how this thing is made. Modern leather tanning processes use lots of harsh chemical pollutants such as chlorine and sulfuric acid, along with petroleum based dyes to finish the leather. Marware do not conform to this strategy, instead ensuring their leather remains RoHS compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) throughout the whole process. This means less hazardous run-off and pollutants caused in the manufacture of their leather cases and covers.
The Eco-Vue for iPad from Marware offers a straightforward iPad cover with a useful hand hold and the bonus that it is being made responsibility, something it would be hard to say about some of the cheapest leather iPad cases on the market. It isn’t ground-breaking. But it is functional, practical and above all an affordable quality iPad cover.
